Located in central Michigan (Holt, just south of Lansing), we specialize in creating memorable events onsite at our venue or offsite at your chosen location. Whether you're hosting a wedding reception, company event, or private party, our venue rental pricing is flexible and seasonally adjusted. Please note that we are a full-service venue only. The Hidden Gem is a licensed catering company through the Ingham County Health Department, offering full-service catering for both onsite and offsite events.

🚫 Outside Catering Policy

For health and liability reasons, outside catering is not typically permitted on the premises. We do permit outside catering when a request has been made for authentic cultural cuisines provided by a licensed/insured vendor.  We also permit desserts from licensed/insured bakeries.

Homecooked foods are not permitted under any circumstances.

Exceptions for Desserts & Cultural Cuisine

  • We permit desserts from licensed/insured bakeries (private bakeries, grocery stores, etc.)

  • We honor cultural heritage and inclusivity. Under specific conditions, we allow outside cultural cuisine from approved licensed and insured vendors. Vendors must comply with ServSafe procedures as well as our venue protocols and policies.

  • All food must be handled and served exclusively by our team.

  • For liability, safety, and quality control reasons, food deliveries must be managed by licensed and insured professionals. 

  • Food handling services are subject to a service fee.

🍹 Bar Services – Fully Licensed & Insured

Liquor License Information & Policies: The Hidden Gem Event Venue is liquor licensed by the State of Michigan. As such, no outside alcohol is permitted on the premises at any time. All bar services must be provided exclusively by The Hidden Gem Event Venue. Guests must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to consume alcohol. Wristbands may be required for certain events for age verification. Failure to comply with these policies will result in a $300 fine (minimum), charged to the signee(s) of the event contract, and must be paid immediately.

Hidden Gem Bartender
$25 per hour (1 Bartender for every 100 Guests) 

Bar Options

  • Non-alcoholic Bar - May be required for "dry" events (incl. soda)

  • Cash Bar - Guests pay for beverages.

  • Open Bar - Host pays for beverages.

  • Limited Bar - Host pays for selected beverages & Guests pay for any extras

  • Combination Bar - Open Bar for designated time then Cash Bar
